Gardeners Pond House

Designed to create a cantilevered floating effect on an enlarged body of water, we are pleased to share our recently completed 'Gardeners Pond House' for two gardeners in Moseley, Birmingham.

Forming a new garden room, the black aluminium panelled extension with glazed corner, allows clear views from new living and kitchen diner spaces out to the garden, with a concrete platform creating a balcony over the pond feature.

The internal structural elements are exposed treated timber, complimenting the Douglas fir flooring and lower kitchen cabinetry. A full height storage zone in a greige painted colour block sets a subtle green hue to the kitchen prep zones.

New lighting features of modernist references in black, as well as wall lights with armatures for task lighting the living reading area.

The pond attracts wildlife such as newts, dragonflies, and other insets, as well as nurturing water Lillies and providing a changing reflective surface of natural activity throughout the day and into dusk.
