On Wednesday 25th April 2018 we hosted an event with the support of the BAA and RIBA, to explore and discuss working with the community in design, a common theme which is shared with the invited speakers participating in the event.
The event was attended by around 106 people, from a diverse range of backgrounds and interests.
Speakers included:
Yinka Danmole, Studio Danmole
Alessandro Columbano, Birmingham Co.Lab
Harbinder Birdi, Hawkins\Brown
Anna Parker, Intervention Architecture
For the event we created bespoke play structures, which were CNC fabricated plywood, a see-saw and rocking turtle form. The structures were intended to stimulate a playful atmosphere, to encourage engagement with the attendees, and also inject a support for working together in collaboration and creation.
Thank you to all who attended and contributed to the event!
.. and also to Studio50TWO who have made this video of the evening.
